Synopsis: This book does not continue directly after the first in the series. (If you want to read about that book, please see last week's post). It is maybe a year or two later. Mr. and Mrs. Darcy have met with a little more of life's hardships. However, everything gets more interesting when Mary shows up pregnant on her return from studying on the continent. And so, the family rallies again to save those they love and their family honor.
Opinion: In some ways, better than the first. I loved that Marsha Altman does not write a constant string of happily ever afters. Each couple must face life's hardships, whatever they may be. Life is real in her books. Again, I could not put it down. My Rating: 5 out of 5 and PG-13. Enjoy!
