Caveat: I NEVER judge a book by its cover or its publisher. Some of the dirtiest, raunchiest romances I have had the misfortune of picking up had pretty garden scenes on the front. So, for those that would like some advise with a quick chick-flick fix, Harlequin romances that only have about 150 pages and have fully clothed people on the front tend to be safe, fun, and cute.
Synopsis: This is the story of a young teacher who lost her job due to the economy. She decides that in order to be close to her sister, she will take a position as a nanny with the local sheriff. In comes the sheriff, the young man who doesn't know how to be a dad and never wanted to be one in the first place. They grow close as they both fall in love with an 18 month old baby.
My Opinion: I thought this was a very cute story. It was very much a short and sweet love story without a huge amount of depth, but a whole lot of reality. The author made the characters real without taking a huge number of pages or being too obvious about it. My Rating: 3 out of 5 (because it was so simple) and PG-13 (there is a sex scene; just not detailed).
